Antonio (Tony)MELONINovember 29, 2014 Who died at home and was born in his beloved Sardinia on 21 October 1941 and had recently celebrated his 73rd birthday with his immediate family. He leaves behind his wife Marie, his 2 children Elena and Rafael, his son-in law Paul, his daughter-in-law Mia, and his 3 adoring granddaughters Olivia, Mila and Lucia. As the owner of 75 Albert Road since the late 70s, initially operating as Sardis restaurant, then Tonys Bistro Wine Bar and more recently Melonis, he has been a longstanding and significant presence in the heart of Widnes town and a familiar face and friend to many people in the area. A church service will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at St Bede's in Widnes at 10.00am, followed by a private farewell at Widnes Crematorium at 11.00am.
